CRC’s claim department will participate in coverage design modeling, utilizing up-to-date loss information to keep design relevant and responsive to real world conditions. Just like CRC’s sales and marketing staff, the claim department will continually up-grade its collective knowledge of your product; not just their knowledge of insurance. Most of all, your claim representative will be “Your” advocate from beginning to end.
Inform and Educate
Fear of the unknown is a major component of policyholder anxiety when a loss occurs. Your claim representative will ensure that you know the process and what to expect. At the same time, your technical product expertise will be used to maximize the quality of technical input for the decision-making process. Your claim representative will keep you well-informed throughout the entire process to minimize any claim payment skepticism you may have. CRC fosters an underlying theme of mutual respect between the policyholder and the insurer to prevent misunderstanding by any of the parties.
Insurance Does Pay
Not only does CRC prove, daily, that insurance does pay. We also work with selected insurers who understand the importance of fast claim payments and deliver on the promise. Taking nothing for granted, CRC performs frequent follow-up as well. Because claim payment is the primary reason for the purchase of insurance and because it is our belief that clients need the unbiased assistance of an advocate, CRC makes it a point that there is no conflict of interest between CRC and an insurer, such as using sister companies to adjust losses for both the insurer and the insured.
CRC goes the extra mile for our clients, creating substantial value in the claim services we provide. When losses occur, CRC uses all the tools available at it s command to minimize premium rate impacts due to poor loss experience. Toward that end, CRC maximizes recovery from bailees (Transportation and Storage providers) – service seldom provided by others. That is, we help the insured recover from the logistics provider, with the agreement of the insurer. By so doing, recovery is substantially increased, often double, compared to the success ratio of insurer recoveries. The net effect is losses are paid satisfactorily but premiums are kept low because the loss ratio is low.
To augment the settling of claims and minimizing net losses, CRC maintains contact with multiple salvage channels, with the experience and capacity to dispose of damaged goods at maximal value. This keeps net losses low and prevents premium fluctuation due to loss history.
